It faces difficulties such as changing populations’ health and demographics, food security, access to a good education, safe and clean water, environmentally friendly and effective energy sources, climate change, and safe communities. Universities must participate in these problems and provide local and global solutions. Universities must contribute to developing cutting-edge technology and new processes and products. Universities are tasked with acting as a catalyst for change by occupying the foreground of the debate and advancing the cause of action.
